International Academy for Intercultural Development (IAID), a novel institute for Dance, Music and Arts focused on providing quality training, is the first of its kind in Qatar. Founded in the year 2001 the academy aims at uniting diverse cultures from the east and west, with a desire to combine the old and the new, all brought together in the form of dance, music, arts, fitness and soft skill courses by a team of professionally qualified instructors and strong affiliations with reputed organizations around the world. IAID is committed to impart quality training to children and adults by providing an integrated course offering based on internationally acclaimed standards and certifications. These include but not limited to the London College of Music (Thames Valley University UK), Nalanda Dance Research Centre (Bombay India), Pracheen Kala Kendra India. IAID is also a pioneer in conducting Summer and Winter Workshops in Qatar attended by children of various nationalities for the last nine (9) years. Specially designed courses with exciting activities make these workshops the most anticipated undertakings at the academy every year.

 

The AcademyIAID has been working closely with the Qatari community and has been a part of major events like the Flower Each Spring Programme under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned, Qatar Summer Wonders, Doha Cultural Festivals, Events at the Qatar Academy (Qatar Foundation), Chairman’s Cup Football Tournament (Qatar Petroleum), Travel Fair, Wheels ‘n’ Heels (Reach Out To Asia – Qatar Foundation) to name a few. The Academy also actively participated in the biggest event ever, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 15th Doha Asian Games 2006 (Celebrity Management, Indian Dance Consultancy, Professional Dancers, Volunteer Performers, Make-Up and Costume Crew, Professional Production Services). Similarly, the Academy has been proud in producing a Classical Dance Ballet – Creation of the Earth for the charity in aid of the Reach Out to Asia appeal fund for Qatar Foundation which was supported by Qatar Tourism. IAID has been organizing competitions, seminars and workshops every year for the last nine years with a massive response from the people of Qatar. Since 2007, IAID has been hosting the prestigious World Environment Day Celebrations of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) with one of the biggest painting competitions participated by leading schools in Qatar.
